Once a year, the Museum of Culpeper History partners with the Luck Stone Culpeper quarry for our DinoWalk program.  This partnership allows us bring visitors into one of the largest collections of prehistoric dinosaur tracks in the world.  Through this event, visitors of all ages are able to reach back through time and “shake hands with a dinosaur.”

Nearly 2000 people attend this popular event every year, and many more follow updates through our mailing lists and social media.

This year we have partnered with Culpeper County Public Schools to bring all 2^nd grade students to the dinosaur track site on Friday, August 23.  Approximately 600 students will have the opportunity to discover this globally significant treasure in their backyard!

 We will also be training a select group of high school science students from Culpeper public schools to serve as tour guides and activity leaders throughout the day, building their leadership, communications, and STEM/STEAM knowledge skills.
